Episode 1
Too Tired to Enjoy It: Getting Out of the Grind Era
In this episode, I answer three questions from my rich friends:
1. "How do I set firm boundaries without feeling guilty or like a bad person?"
Why you were programmed to put everyone else first, and how I let no be a complete sentence. Plus the RV road-trip morning I caught myself breaking my own boundary over a cup of coffee, and the tax sale I walked away from without a single explanation.
2. "How do I step back from grinding without losing my financial security?"
The harder you work, the less money you make. The less you work, the more money you make. I'll explain it with one question: in a hotel, who works the hardest, and who gets paid the most? Then we look at the money you've already set aside. Is it working for you, or are you still working for it?
3. "Who am I when I'm not being useful to everyone else?"
This one might ruffle some feathers. So many of us built our whole identity on being needed. I'll share what happened when my children grew up and moved out, how lost I felt, and how riding with a motorcycle club and line dancing helped me find myself again.
Remember this:
"Boundaries protect your time. Investments protect your security. And both give you room to find yourself."
"Being soft doesn't mean that you're small."
This week's question for you: If no one needed anything from you this Saturday, no texts, no calls, no emergencies, what would you do?
